Summer 2012 Preschool Themes
Summer 2012 Preschool Registration Form

Summer Program

Perkins offers a broad curriculum full of age appropriate activities for children three to five, while allowing each child to familiarize themselves with the building, routine and new friends. The curriculum is planned to be primarily fun.

We do enjoy being outside during the summer. We use sprinklers and water tables when the weather is warm enough.

We strongly encourage children to start in the summer program when the atmosphere is more relaxed and our student load is lighter.
We are open all summer except for the Fourth of July, Labor Day and the day after Labor Day.

Summer Curriculum
Our Theme class incorporates many areas such as science, math, cooking, creative dramatics, and basic skills all which focus on the “theme of the week.” Art, Music and PE will be a part of your child’s day and will use the theme as a part of their curriculum as well. In addition to our classes, Perkins summer program will provide fun on campus experiences like the “Reptile Guy”, musical guests, and the Seattle Fire Department.

During the summer the children are placed in groups with animals names (instead of colors) and the 3 year olds are in the “Teddy Bears.”
